A popular Charleston area holiday tradition returns this evening when The College of Charleston presents its annual Cougar Night Lights. While the shows on the 23rd and 24th are only open to students with a valid ID, beginning on November 25th, the show is open to all.
The over 43,000 light display has been produced and designed by College of Charleston alumnus John Reynolds, a multi-Emmy award winning lighting designer who has done work for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Super Bowl. Cougar Night Lights promises to capture the magic of the holiday season and will be a hit with family members of all ages with its’ dazzling light displays set to classic holiday tunes as well as popular contemporary songs.
This holiday event is FREE to the public and is held in the Cistern Yard located at the corner of George and St. Philip streets.
