Identity theft is on the rise and one of the best ways to protect yourself from it and other types of fraud is by shredding all your sensitive documents and information. Professional recommend you should shred pre-approved credit card offers, tax records, employment records, old bills, out-of-date account statements and other personal documents that include confidential information.
Whether you have a kitchen draw full or spring cleaning resulted in a pile of sensitive documents and letters that you are better off shredding vs. sticking in the trash there are plenty of local companies that will shred for a fee or there are fairly regular and free paper shredding events in the Charleston area.
