Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is hosting a Pay What You Can weekend this Saurday and Sunday, January 7-8, 2012, for South Carolina residents.

If you can afford to pay something to get in, chip in what you can. If not, they’ll let you in for free. You’ll need to bring a valid South Carolina ID or proof or residence to get in on this deal.

It’s rumored that the ghost of Blackbeard will be roaming the decks of the USS Yorktown on October 28-31, 2011. I hear he’ll be looking for something he lost in his last fight….his head.

Admission to this Charleston haunted house (well, in this case, haunted ship) is $15. There’s an extra $5 per car fee for parking. Whether or not that’s cheap depends on your definition, but where I’m originally from (Kansas City), haunted houses can cost up to $37. So this sounds like a bargain to me.

Ghost Ship tours run from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. nightly. There are a limited number of tickets available, so you’ll want to buy your tickets in advance.
